Safety Rules

Safety rules are mandatory and enforced by Action Pursuit Games of Brandon LLC staff.

Paintball Safety Rules

  1. Listen to and take note of the safety briefing.
  2. Always follow referee instructions.
  3. Fire only APG-provided/purchased paintballs.
  4. Goggles are never to be removed during games.
  5. Barrel sleeves are required between games and in staging areas; barrel plugs are not permitted.
  6. No physical contact.
  7. Do not shoot anyone not involved in the game.
  8. No alcohol or illegal drugs; no real firearms except law officers.
  9. Do not fire after leaving the game field.
  10. Semi-auto only: one trigger pull/release, one shot.
  11. Do not shoot closer than 20 ft.; call surrender.
  12. No verbally abusive language.
  13. Do not deliberately shoot wild animals.
  14. No knives or weapons on game sites.
  15. No pyrotechnics except those approved by APG.
  16. 3-shot average of 285 FPS or less and 10.3 BPS.
  17. HPA tanks must be in date; validation may be required.
  18. Call yourself when hit and go to re-spawn immediately.
  19. Staff only may fill HPA tanks.
  20. Use caution in real woods: falling trees, roots, slippery ground, insects and reptiles.
  21. Buildings, staging areas and woods can be slippery and may have roots and holes.
  22. Do not remove or alter rental guns, tanks or other equipment.

Airsoft Core Safety Guidelines

Parents and players must read the Airsoft safety board before playing. Minimum age, required eye protection, barrel sleeves, safe testing areas, protective clothing and staging-area rules all apply.

Paintball Safety Rules

Read these rules before arrival and listen carefully to the on-site safety briefing.

  1. Listen to and follow the safety briefing given before play.
  2. Always follow the instructions of APG referees and staff.
  3. Never fire anything from a Paintball marker other than Paintballs provided or approved by APG. All field paint must be purchased from APG.
  4. Goggles are never to be removed for any reason during games. Removal of goggles can result in ejection from the game.
  5. Paintball markers must have barrel sleeves on the barrel between games and in staging areas. Barrel plugs are not permitted.
  6. No physical contact is permitted.
  7. Do not shoot your marker at anyone who is not wearing approved Paintball goggles.
  8. Do not shoot at wildlife, vehicles, buildings, signs, referees, spectators, or anything not intended as a game target.
  9. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
  10. Do not blind-fire. You must be able to see where you are shooting.
  11. Do not climb structures, bunkers, fences, trees, or other areas not designated for player use.
  12. Stay within the boundaries of the playing field and follow referee directions when entering or leaving the field.
  13. Do not shoot players at an unsafe or excessively close distance. Follow APG's surrender or close-range procedures when instructed.
  14. Chronograph and velocity limits must be followed. Do not adjust marker velocity after it has been checked without staff approval.
  15. No alcohol or illegal drugs are permitted before or during play. Anyone appearing impaired will not be allowed to play.
  16. Treat every Paintball marker as if it is loaded and ready to fire.
  17. Do not point a Paintball marker at anyone in a staging or safe area.
  18. Keep barrel sleeves installed and marker safeties engaged whenever you are outside the active playing field.
  19. Use only approved compressed-air or CO2 equipment and follow staff instructions for filling tanks.
  20. Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or injuries to APG staff immediately.
  21. Good sportsmanship is required. No fighting, threatening behavior, or abusive conduct.
  22. Failure to follow safety rules or referee instructions may result in removal from play without refund.

Airsoft

Airsoft Safety Rules

Airsoft players must follow all APG eye-protection requirements, equipment rules, referee instructions, and field limits.

  1. Approved eye protection must be worn whenever required by APG staff and while on an active Airsoft field.
  2. Follow all referee and staff instructions at all times.
  3. Keep Airsoft guns pointed in a safe direction when not actively playing.
  4. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  5. Magazines must be removed and chambers cleared when required before entering a staging or safe area.
  6. Do not fire Airsoft guns in staging areas, parking areas, or other designated safe zones.
  7. Observe all field velocity, joule, and engagement-distance limits.
  8. No blind-firing. You must be able to see where you are shooting.
  9. Do not intentionally shoot referees, spectators, animals, vehicles, or property.
  10. Call your hits honestly and follow APG game rules and referee decisions.
  11. No physical contact, fighting, threatening behavior, or unsafe horseplay.
  12. Only approved BBs, gas, batteries, and equipment may be used.
  13. Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or injuries to APG staff immediately.
  14. Failure to follow safety rules or referee instructions may result in removal from play without refund.

The rules below match the current APG Paintball safety boards.

  1. Ensure you listen to and take note of the safety briefing given.
  2. Always follow the instructions of the Referee’s.
  3. Never fire anything from your Paintball Gun other than the Paintballs provided. All Paint must be purchased from APGOB.
  4. GOGGLES ARE NEVER TO BE REMOVED FOR ANY REASON DURING GAMES. - Ejection from game for removal of Goggles.
  5. Paintball guns must have barrel sleeves on barrels between games and in the staging areas. Barrel plugs are not permitted lost Barrel Sleeves cost $3.00 for replacement
  6. No physical contact is permitted.
  7. Do NOT shoot your marker at anyone not involved in the game.
  8. No alcohol/illegal drugs allowed at APGOB. No real firearms allowed (except law officers).
  9. DO NOT fire your gun once you leave the game field
  10. Fire Mode is Semi Only – 1 trigger pull/release 1 shot fired
  11. Do NOT shoot people closer than 20ft. Call Surrender!
  12. No verbal abusive language toward other players.
  13. Do NOT deliberately shoot at wild animals.
  14. No knives or weapons of any description are allowed on game sites.
  15. No pyrotechnical devices are permitted other than those approved by APGOB.
  16. FPS is 3 shot average of 285 FPS or Less and 10.3 BPS
  17. All HPA tanks must be in date. You must validate your code date and supply Validation of date code.
  18. Call yourself when hit and go to re-spawn station immediately.
  19. Staff only to fill your HPA Tanks.
  20. Caution you are playing in real woods with falling trees, roots, slippery ground, insects and reptiles.
  21. All areas (building, staging area, woods and etc.) are slippery and may have roots, holes and etc in ground.
  22. Do not remove or alter rental guns, tanks and etc.

Airsoft Core Safety Guidelines

Parents and players must read these safety guidelines before playing.

  1. MINIMUM AGE TO PLAY AIRSOFT 12 YEARS OLD for new players and/or 12-13 yrs old may play if accompanied by adult if it’s their first time to play airsoft. New players 12-13 will need a parent present for the first couple games until player demonstrates they follow the rules.
  2. ALL GUNS MUST HAVE AN INDUSTRY SUPPLIED BARREL SLEEVE (no sticks, gloves, etc). If you have multiple guns, each gun needs a barrel sleeve. Barrel sleeves on all long guns in staging area.
  3. 18 YO OR YOUNGER MUST WEAR FULLY SEALED GOGGLES /mouth/ear protection or full mask. Experienced players can wear approved alternate protective gear. For sale in pro shop.
  4. PISTOLS MUST BE HOLSTERED OR MAGS OUT AND NO BB’S IN THE CHAMBER in the staging area.
  5. PROTECTIVE GEAR TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN ON FIELD DURING GAME AND BETWEEN GAMES.
  6. ALL SHOOTING TO TEST GUNS MUST BE ON THE NETTED HYPER BALL FIELD OR CHRONOGRAPH AREA.
  7. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND GLOVES, LONG PANTS, AND VESTS/BAGGY CLOTHING TO PLAY IN.
  8. FOLLOW ALL SAFETY AND GAME RULES / DIRECTIONS FROM THE GROUP LEADERS. You’ll see all of the experienced players step in as group leaders when they see something unsafe. THAT KEEPS US ALL SAFE.
  9. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT IS PERMITTED. DO NOT SHOOT YOUR MARKER AT ANYONE WHEN THE GAME IS NOT IN PLAY. ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR DURING PLAY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Additional posted safety reminders: No running or wrestling; no shooting others outside the game; no alcohol or drugs; no fireworks or pyro; safety gear saves lives.
